Also known as DJW (Dental Jaw Wiring) or OJW (Orthodontic Jaw Wiring), both systems use common orthodontic brackets to losely wire upper and lower teeth together to stop the mouth from opening enough to not allow large food particles to enter the mouth. Only liquids or liquified foods can be sucked through a straw. There are only a few dentists who provide this service openly in the US.
